Course Description
Vital Psychedelic Training by Psychedelics Today is a 12-month professional certificate training program covering the elements of psychedelic therapy and integration, beginning again in April 2023.
This year-long course is designed to provide a multidisciplinary approach to psychedelic therapy, covering medical, academic, transpersonal, indigenous, somatic, and trauma-informed models. Students will have the opportunity to experience the transformational power of psychedelics and non-ordinary states of consciousness at one of the course's residential retreats. The course will explore the intersectionality between western medicine, psychedelic therapy and holistic therapeutic modalities. Students will have the opportunity to build a community of fellow psychedelic practitioners on a shared mission to support the world’s healing and evolution.
The course will cover the skills related to screening, preparing, navigating, holding space, and integrating a psychedelic journey in a safe and ethical container that honours each client’s needs. Students will also have the opportunity to personalize their learning journey by choosing elective modules and masterclasses that suit their individual learning goals. The course will also feature lectures from some of the world’s leading experts, researchers, and practitioners in the field.
The course structure includes weekly live lectures, a 2-hour webinar taught by a special guest and followed up by Q&A, weekly study groups, electives, experiential retreats, peer study groups (optional), monthly webinars, an online community platform, and a final project. To graduate, students must attend all five core modules and two elective modules, take part in one experiential retreat, and complete a final certification project. The tuition fee for the course is $12,000 and includes 180 hours of live lectures, study groups, one four-week elective module, and one residential retreat.
Vital was designed for medical professionals who want to incorporate psychedelic knowledge and integration modalities into their therapeutic practice. Notable teaching staff include Ben Sessa, Rick Strassman, Bill Richards, Adele Lafrance and Reid Robinson.
