Course Description
The Augmented Psychotherapy Training (APT) is a 15-month program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice Psychedelic-Augmented Psychotherapy (PAP) and Integration-Focused Psychotherapy (IFP) within a legal, safe, and evidence-based framework.
In PAP, altered states of consciousness are purposefully induced to enhance psychotherapeutic processes using both pharmacological methods (e.g., psilocybin, ketamine) and non-pharmacological methods (e.g., immersive breathwork). IFP, on the other hand, focuses on helping patients draw therapeutic benefits from psychedelic experiences that occur outside the therapy setting, as well as preventing and mitigating potential harm.
Program Structure
The APT program follows a hybrid learning model over 15 months, including:
- Three Intensive On-Site Trainings: Held in Berlin, Germany.
- Weekly Online Training Sessions: These include lectures from leading international experts, journal club presentations, mentoring sessions, and meditation training.
Participants will also complete the MIND Foundation’s educational online program Molecules and the integration workshop Beyond Experience at their own pace.
Who Is This Training For?
The APT program is intended for medical doctors, psychotherapists, and other mental health professionals. Detailed admission criteria can be found on the program’s website.
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate in Psychedelic Therapy – Integration-Focused Psychotherapy (IFP) and Psychedelic-Augmented Psychotherapy (PAP).
Development and Faculty
The APT program was developed by the MIND Foundation with contributions from leading experts in psychedelic research and therapy. The faculty includes core teams from the MIND Foundation and the OVID Clinic, alongside experienced clinicians and renowned researchers from European and international institutions.
