The Why (Y) in Psychedelics is a course that delves into the motivations behind using psychedelics. The course is designed to help participants understand the role of intention in creating optimal environments for psychedelic experiences, as well as to examine various "why archetypes" and their utilization of psychedelics. The course will also explore the psychology of ritual and its intersection with psychedelics, and will teach participants how to use ritual to bring intention into an experience to influence set and setting. Additionally, the course will give participants an opportunity to create an individual intention statement and discuss personal applications of ritual.

    • Maboundi/Yombo

  • Various branches of Missoko initiation:

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
