Course Description

Psychedelic Pharmacology by Substance is a course that delves into the intricate world eight of psychedelic substances. This comprehensive program provides a thorough exploration of the pharmacological properties, clinical research results, toxicity profiles, and drug interactions associated with a variety of mind-altering substances. Students will better understand each molecule, including MDMA, psilocybin, LSD, mescaline, ayahuasca, DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, ketamine, and ibogaine.

The Psychedelic Pharmacology Masters Series – for which this course is a companion/supplement – consists of three different courses; Foundation to Psychedelic Pharmacology, Psychedelic Pharmacology by Substance & Clinical Pharmacology of Psychedelics. Each course takes deep dive into the pharmacological aspects surrounding psychedelics covering topics such as pharmacodynamics, neuroanatomy, the chemical nature of the various psychedelics and how psychedelics are used in clinical practice, amongst many other things.

The course was designed and created by the Spirit Pharmacist, Dr Ben Malcolm. Dr Malcolm is a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist whose keen interest in psychedelics led him to design and develop this series of online courses.

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
