Mindfulness, Compassion, & Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy is an immersive, two-day interactive workshop to equip clinicians with practical tools and techniques inspired by mindfulness, compassion-oriented treatment, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. The course sheds light on recent research and advancements in these areas, highlighting their potential in treating various disorders such as PTSD, depression, addictions, and end-of-life anxiety. This expansive course explores the healing mechanisms of non-ordinary states, their impact on the neurobiology of human suffering and flourishing, and their role in gaining new insights into the nature of psychological distress.

In this workshop, participants will delve into practical applications, including how to help clients integrate traumatic memories, embrace vulnerability, and move from isolation towards deep connections with people and nature. The course encourages a shift in perspective, enabling participants to appreciate the fluidity of thought and find meaning in everyday moments. Clinicians will also learn how to utilize mindfulness and self-compassion practices and other techniques to effectively harness these healing mechanisms. In addition, they will gain the necessary knowledge to support clients experimenting with psychedelics, aiding them in integrating and growing from their experiences.

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
