Course Description

The Ketamine Enhanced Internal Family Systems (K-IFS) Retreat is a training program for licensed medical or mental health professionals looking to integrate ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients through altered consciousness therapy.

The retreat will take place from May 20th to 27th, 2023 in Southern Vermont and is open for applications. The program offers 53 hours of learning, 2 facilitated medicine experiences, 7 group integration sessions, room, and food for 7 days. Tuition for the course is $4,200, with an additional room and board fee ranging from $1500 to $2500 based on room choice.

During the course, participants will learn about the basics of IFS, ketamine pharmacology, and how to facilitate KIFS sessions, emphasising ethics, consent, and building a therapeutic alliance in the context of altered consciousness therapy. The retreat trainers include Jennifer Baldwin, LPC, PhD who is a certified IFS therapist with a background in systematic theology and experience in various therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR, heart rate variability, neurofeedback, and applied shamanism.

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
