The course Ibogaine: A Non-Pharmaceutical Road Out of Addiction offers a quick exploration of ibogaine, a plant-based medicine with a long history of use in African traditional medicine for interrupting addiction. The course, which runs for 2.5 hours, is designed to provide healthcare providers and interested individuals with evidence-based information on the effectiveness of ibogaine in treating various forms of addiction, including alcohol, opioids, and cocaine.

Participants will hear from experts, including a recovered addict turned addictions counsellor, consulting psychiatrists, and authors specializing in addiction treatment. The course also provides vetted resources for clinics offering ibogaine treatment, primarily located outside the USA in Central and South America and Europe.

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
