Course Description

Facilitating Psychedelic Experiences is an online workshop and accompanying workbook about how you can facilitate psychedelic sessions for groups and individuals. This four-hour workshop will guide you through the process of facilitating psychedelic experiences, from understanding the various roles and responsibilities of a facilitator, to organizing and hosting sessions.

You will leave the workshop with a greater understanding of facilitation and more confidence to organize your own sessions. Suitable for enthusiastic beginners and experienced facilitators seeking to connect with like-minded individuals, the workshop covers topics such as trip sitting, best practices, self-care, and navigating group and solo sessions.

The accompanying workbook will provide additional resources and exercises to enhance your understanding and practice of facilitating psychedelic experiences.

The learning goals for this course include understanding the role and responsibilities of a psychedelic facilitator, gaining confidence in organizing and hosting sessions, and learning best practices and self-care as a sitter. The course also covers topics such as different terms used in the field, different types of support and interaction, and organizing group and solo sessions. Additionally, the course provides an opportunity to explore what type of facilitator one could and would like to be and how to navigate solo trips and the dangers and risks associated with them.

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
