Course Description

The Advanced Education in Psychedelic Therapy (ADEPT) programme is a comprehensive two-year hybrid training designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and ethical grounding necessary for practising psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT). Combining online and in-person learning, ADEPT integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiences, including immersive workshops featuring self-experiences with psilocybin-containing truffles under expert supervision. Participants will explore essential topics such as therapeutic models, pharmacological principles, ethical practices, somatic and contemplative techniques, and client-centred care.

Developed by the OPEN Foundation, this programme includes ten online modules, five in-person meetings, and three experiential workshops, ensuring a robust and well-rounded education. Learners will engage with case studies, role play, mentorship, and reflective practices to build core competencies. This curriculum is guided by world-renowned faculty members who bring decades of expertise in psychedelic research, therapy, and education. ADEPT emphasises safety, integrity, and inclusivity while preparing students for the professional challenges of psychedelic therapy.
