Course Description

The Psychedelic Therapy Training Program offered by Salt City Psychedelic Therapy and Research (SCPTR) is an 8-week, comprehensive course designed for individuals aspiring to become therapists and healers in the burgeoning field of psychedelic therapy. Through clinical and theoretical training, students are introduced to essential topics such as harm reduction, ethics, and research in psychedelic therapy.

The program also delves into specific psychedelic-assisted therapies such as MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Conducted via live Zoom sessions, this course facilitates an interactive and experiential learning environment led by SCPTR’s faculty of experts, including MAPS and CIIS Scientists and Directors. Students will also be able to participate in weekly process groups and optional one-on-one integration sessions, further enriching their understanding and skills in this specialized field.

About Instructor

Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
