The Fundamentals of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy course is an 8-week intensive program designed to equip regulated and non-regulated providers with the essential skills and knowledge to practice this emerging form of therapy. Conducted by experienced Numinus practitioners, the course employs a multi-modal approach, incorporating online pre-work, live Zoom sessions, and group work to build core competencies.
The curriculum is grounded in evidence-based practices and covers a wide range of topics, from the role of psychedelic-assisted therapy in the broader healing journey to specific therapeutic concepts like inner healing intelligence and psychological flexibility. The course also addresses this field’s ethical considerations and challenges, such as client safety, transference, and countertransference.
The program is facilitated by a team of experts, including Dr. Devon Christie and Dr. Patricia Rockman, among others, and is committed to principles of justice, equity, dignity, and inclusion. Participants will engage in 24 hours of live sessions, 20 hours of online pre-work, and 6 hours of practice group work, totalling 50 hours of comprehensive training. About Instructor
Tatayo (“Fruit of the Wind”) first arrived in Gabon in 1971 at the age of 21 and became a Gabonese citizen. In 1979, he became the first white person to be initiated into the Bwiti Fang tradition in Gabon. In 1994, he was initiated into the Misokko tradition. As a guide for numerous expeditions and missions, including those of National Geographic, the BBC, and others, Tatayo is considered to have “opened the door” to westerners in Gabon.
